Soccer Season

Cold weather. cloudy skies. muddy, rutted field...it is soccer season in Berlin. The coach didn't show and the assistant knows nothing about soccer. An 8th grade girl took over, assigned positions and I have to say, they played quite well for only having one practice that most kids didn't go to because it was raining.

Jack really hustled. I was very proud of him. He learned a lot in Junior High Soccer about playing his position and teamwork. All the kids played well, though they lost 2-1. It is nice to see them maturing and playing as a team and respecting each other on the field.

Saturday I have to get him to Casselman, which I don't even know where it is. Kate has a game at the same time in Berlin, so it starts...Getting rides, trying to be two places at once, crazy but fun.

Pray for no rain.

Oh, the joys of summer! Let's hope Jack's team gets organized...Don't you hate it when people don't have their acts together? grr....

Yeah, but I was actually in such a good mood, I was able to look at the positive on this one: Kids played well together and showed great leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship
