PSSA

Finished providing accommodations to some hardworking students and feeling exhausted. This high stakes testing is crazy. These poor kids. They try so hard and struggle so much. It just doesn't seem fair.

Today was the last day and the one little girl was so genuine. She said she was going to miss me and "You are so nice, I like you." I have been hanging around high schoolers so much, I thought she was being sarcastic or trying to suck up to me!! How sad is that.

I look forward to seeing what these students accomplish in the years to come. That is the one nice thing about my job. I get to see my students go through the middle to high school years and be successful.

Good Luck to them all, now and in the future!

Thankful

My brother Chris took Jack on vacation with him. Some male bonding time - seems so trite of a statement. I missed that young man but was greatful that I have such a wonderful brother that enjoys spending time with such great kid. They are so much alike and I love that they are more than uncle and nephew...they are friends.

A Visit to Dylan's Candy Bar

Whenever we visit NYC we try to visit new places. Our visit in October included a trip to

The sign was made of candy

What else do you do when you are the daughter of the famous designer,
Ralph Lauren but open a candy store in Manhattan.

It was pretty cool. The upstairs had a bakery and place to have a birthday party and downstairs was CANDY!

Kate! with a b-day party going on in the background

Which one?!?!?!?!?!

Cupcake shaped booths. There were adorable in red, green, yellow and blue.

Still deciding.....

and deciding...

and thinking (enough pictures Mom)

we decided...

The winner was a chocolate cupcake with a reseese's cup in there and cake crumbs all over the icing. The table is gumballs covered with plexiglass.

These are the lights on the ceiling
